A Beautiful Day is more than just a company. It is a true sanctuary: an extraordinary healing retreat : a peaceful, harmonious destination…a  natural and sustainable environment for people from all walks of life to come and “unplug“ from the rest of the world for awhile.
 
At the highest level, we strive to provide an opportunity for a conscious exchange of positive thoughts and action in a natural, healing environment. We believe that creative expression, harmonious living and a natural environment is crucial to healing. We envision people from around the world coming together to refresh their spirit and explore their creativity while attaining a healthy balance in their body and mind. We see A Beautiful Day as an incubator location for participants to connect with nature and create a collective consciousness for growth and change. We use a holistic approach in a healthy environment. We encourage visitors to listen closely to their own voice, and to take the time while they are here to experience true peace. Our goal is to promote well-being across the globe, even in remote regions, and to humanity as a whole.


A Beautiful Day is located in the rainforest on the Big Island of Hawai’i. It is a unique property in that it has magnificent old growth trees.  On this island, much of the landscape was burned eighty years ago from the lava flow. But on this property over a hundred varieties, some  endemic, some very rare huge old trees exist. There are also numerous beautiful tropical plants. The surrounding lots  have much smaller, younger trees. We are surrounded on all sides by unoccupied land, so there is a "buffer zone" for added privacy. 

This property is a true sanctuary and a unique destination. It is a beautiful place to experience peace so that those passing through may take it with them out into the world. We are close to the active volcano, near rugged coastlines, warm ponds, waterfalls, the bustling town of Hilo. We are even close enough to go swimming with the dolphins.

We live a simple lifestyle here: catchment water for bathing and drinking, vegetable and herb gardens, with some hand-built simple structures, and even a treehouse. We  are striving for sustainability. Many of our trees bear fruit. We raise chickens, geese and ducks for eggs. We also have a miniature donkey and a goat, dwarf bunnies, guinea pigs and two cuddly cats.

We have a stone circle for rituals and prayer and a fire circle for gatherings. We offer simple structures and accommodations for visitors. We believe that this is the kind of place that can allow people to “unplug” from the rest of the world and recharge their batteries. We see this as an opportunity for people (and the planet) to embrace nature and the environment as a road to peace and well-being.

We believe that everyone needs the time to heal and a place to “hear themselves think,” a place to listen to their soul. We have created this retreat as a place for people to listen ...to become quiet and experience ancient and modern healing modalities. we have created the following programs to be an exceptional opportunity for change.
